Is Awesomium dead now?

I just checked the blog and noticed the last entry was 2 years ago. I checked the Unity tutorials section and it is still as empty as last time I was here (which was a loooooooooong time ago), I come on here and do a search for Unity and find only replies that are almost as old as I am...almost.

So what's the deal? Has Unity support just been cancelled completely or has Awesomium died completely? Whenever my customers ask me about web access from within their projects I always tell them to start here and buy something else if this does not work out. Now that I have come back to check on the status of it I am left feeling like I am staring at a corpse...

Can someone please tell me the current status of Awesomium and the status of it's Unity plugin? I would be most grateful.

Thanks

I believe Santa Claus will bring a bag of new features. And i know you can figure out when.

It's Christmas already, and no any presents from Santa. Does it mean we all were bad kids this year?

As recently as March, Perikles C. Stephanidis was promising his customers a 1.7.6 version with 64-bit support. At a minimum they should be providing their customers with an update, and if the product is dead we deserve to know as this impacts OUR customers.

He's a funny man, glad they're keeping in contact and taking as long as possible to do anything in a world where these things move incredibly fast.

The product is very well alive. Version 1.7.6 will be released in a few days with many new features and an updated Unity plugin as well. Meanwhile, we are also working on our next major version (v2.0).

How soon would you say that we could expect v2.0 to be out and upon which version of Chromium will it be based?

This is promising, can you provide a date please? 2 week ago you said "in a few days". I need to communicate an update to my customers.

This reply was made in the middle of June, and we are now in July. I am contemplating a move from PhantomJS to Awesomium if 64-bit support is added, and we may become paying customers as a result... but so far I am not feeling comfortable with how many promises are made and how few are kept. Is there any update on this?

I guess the answer is given in an implicit way in the meantime. See rule #1 and rule #2 given by @Yannou.

And now it's December.
